THE ALEXANDRA “ALI” HAMILTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

at Oliver Ames High School

THE ALEXANDRA “ALI” HAMILTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:

This scholarship is given by family and friends in memory of Ali Hamilton who tragically passed away at the age of 22 in 2013. Ali was a member of the Oliver Ames Class of 2009. Throughout her life, she had a love of children and a passion for sports. She was enrolled in college, majoring in Criminal Justice. Ali planned to work with children or troubled teens. Ali had always strived to make a difference by helping others, before helping herself. Ali was passionate about sports, both playing them and watching them. Her favorite sport was basketball, but she enjoyed all sports. Ali’s competitiveness and enthusiasm was always displayed whether playing with teammates or just watching sports with family. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who displays the same goals and passions as Ali. Majoring in Criminal Justice and academic excellence are not the primary consideration for this scholarship, so all are encouraged to apply

Ali Hamilton

On March 22, 2013, we lost our beloved daughter, sister and friend. Ali Hamilton will be forever missed but her legacy will live on forever.

We are currently working on multiple projects to honor Ali's life. Your support is greatly appreciated.

A Note from Her Big Brother

Alexandra "Ali" J. Hamilton was born on January 24th, 1991. Ali grew up as an athlete; playing football (with the guys), baseball (with the guys), softball, and basketball. She was a gifted athlete and also probably had the most friends on the team. No matter whether she was with the guys or girls, everyone loved her and she was always friendly. Ali loved to be with her teammates. Not only was she a great teammate but she was the best sister/daughter anyone could have. Even though she was the baby of the family, she made sure she kept in contact with her mom, dad and all three of her siblings everyday. Ali was a criminal justice student and loved kids. Her goal was to work with kids in probation one day. Due to a tragic car accident on March 22, 2013, Ali is no longer with us, but her legacy will live on with our family and our friends.

Ali is the sweetest sister that any brother could have. She was my best friend and she will be missed everyday.
